HARDERS PRODUCTS AS AIRPLANE LUGGAGE
Island Maid Inc. does not recommend or approve taking its gallon syrups, extracts, colors, or portion cup juices/water with you on a plane as check-in or carry-on luggage. If you choose to transport products on your own, you must provide your own packaging material (e.g., boxes, padding) to ensure the products' safety. Island Maid Inc. / Harders Hawaii will not accept responsibility for any damages caused during commercial passenger airline transport as check-in or carry-on luggage.
COMMUNICATION WITH CUSTOMERS
Island Maid Inc. strives to provide the best and most efficient customer service possible. Due to limited staff, Island Maid Inc. will prioritize emailing customers for any follow-ups or order issues, rather than over-the-phone calling. Island Maid Inc. feels this is the best way to ensure issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing chances for miscommunication.
ORDERING AND SHIPPING
All orders will ship out of the Island Maid Inc. factory within 3-5 business days from the date of payment. Mainland orders currently take anywhere between 7-10 days to deliver. Orders are shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Although this is a rare occurrence, depending on the size of your order, demand for a certain item, or issues with the shipper, your order may be delayed. Please make sure that you provide Island Maid Inc. with your correct shipping address before placing an order. Island Maid Inc. cannot guarantee any store credit if the address provided is incorrect. Please note that orders are shipped and delivered on business days only (this excludes weekends and holidays). Typically, three delivery attempts will be made before the package is returned to Island Maid Inc. Penalties and fees may be applied. To avoid this inconvenience, Island Maid Inc. recommends delivery to a commercially zoned business address. Island Maid Inc. cannot ship to PO, FPO, APO, or IPO boxes. Island Maid Inc. cannot ship internationally. Orders not placed through Island Maid Inc.’s online store may not be eligible for discounted shipping rates. Shipping times are not guaranteed.

Island Maid Inc. goes above and beyond when it comes to packing and protecting your order. However, there are risks with shipping its heavy syrups from Hawaii to the mainland or outer islands. Note that FedEx/UPS shipping gallon size syrups will be done at your own risk, with a breakage rate of 1 in 200. If breakages occur, Island Maid Inc. / Harders Hawaii will work to file a claim. However, in the event that the claim is denied, Island Maid Inc. will not be able to reship your order. Instead, a store credit equal to the amount of the damaged portion or a partial refund (less a 4% fee) will be issued. Ocean freight shipping is recommended, taking 5-7 weeks with additional charges. Contact Island Maid Inc. for ocean freight details.
ISLAND MAID INC. RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
As of 03/07/2023, all full and partial refunds will be subject to a 4% fee. The reason for implementing a 4% fee for customer refunds is to better reflect the fact that Island Maid Inc. does not receive the full processing fees from its credit card payment partners when refunds occur, which is in line with the current industry standards.
Island Maid Inc. is unable to accept any returns at the moment for health and safety reasons. Island Maid Inc. / Harders Hawaii reserves the right to handle each return or refund case at its own discretion. Please report any received Island Maid Inc. products that are damaged (i.e., leaking gallon bottles) due to mishandling by the shipper or any mistakes in your order. Please have the invoice number and tracking number associated with the order and information on the exact quantity and type of product damaged. Please include any pictures or files that can help Island Maid Inc. better file your claim with the shipper. If a damage claim is not honored by the shipping company, Island Maid Inc. will not be able to reship your damaged or missing items. In this case, a store credit or refund will be offered as compensation. If you are ordering more than 30 gallons, Island Maid Inc. would highly recommend shipping via ocean freight as your order will have a higher chance of arriving without damages. Island Maid Inc. cannot guarantee any credits or refunds for any gallon orders that arrive damaged when shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx for orders above 30 gallons. Please contact Island Maid Inc. to learn more about ocean freight. For products that are missing due to complete damage during shipping, Island Maid Inc. will handle each case at its own discretion. If you would like to file a damage claim with the shipper, please make sure to include pictures of the damaged product and packaging to ensure the best chances of a successful claim. Island Maid Inc. is not responsible for any damaged or lost orders that are sent via third-party shippers inside or outside of the United States of America.
PRODUCT LEAKING DURING SHIPPING
Although rare, please note you may experience liquid leakage during shipping due to pressure in bottles during transit from Hawaii. No store credit will be issued if there is less than 1 ounce of syrup per gallon loss. Island Maid Inc. reserves the right to handle each incident at its own discretion.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Island Maid Inc. is the owner and/or authorized user of all trademarks, service marks, patents, recipes, copyrights, database rights, and all other intellectual property appearing on or contained within the Site, unless otherwise indicated. Except as provided in these Terms & Conditions, use of the Site does not grant you any right, title, interest, or license to any such intellectual property you may access on the Site. Except as provided in these Terms & Conditions, any use or reproduction of the intellectual property is prohibited.
NO LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Island Maid Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and assigns, hereby disclaim all liability for any loss, cost, or damage (direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise) suffered by you as a result of your use of the site or from any computer virus transmitted through the site, or other sites accessed from this site, whether such loss, cost, or damage arises from Island Maid Inc.’s negligence or otherwise and even if Island Maid Inc. is expressly informed of the possibility of such loss or damage.
LINKS TO AND FROM THIS SITE
You acknowledge and agree that Island Maid Inc. has no responsibility for the information provided by websites to which you may link from this Site ("Linked Sites"). Links to Linked Sites do not constitute an endorsement by or association with Island Maid Inc. of such sites or the content, products, advertising, or other materials presented on such sites. Island Maid Inc. has no control over these Linked Sites and does not edit or monitor them. You acknowledge and agree that Island Maid Inc. is not responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage, loss, or cost caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on such Linked Sites.
INDEMNITY
You will indemnify Island Maid Inc. against any loss, damage, or cost incurred by Island Maid Inc. arising out of your use of the Site, any of its services, or any information accessible over or through the Site, including information obtained from linked sites, your submission or transmission of information or material on or through the Site, or your violation of these Terms & Conditions or any other laws, regulations, and rules. You will also indemnify Island Maid Inc. against any claims that information or material which you have submitted to Island Maid Inc. is in violation of any law or in breach of any third-party rights (including, but not limited to, claims in respect of defamation, invasion of privacy, breach of confidence, infringement of copyright, or infringement of any other intellectual property right). Island Maid Inc. reserves the right to exclusively defend and control any claims arising from the above and any such indemnification matters and that you will fully cooperate with Island Maid Inc. in any such defenses.
USER INFORMATION
In the course of your use of the Site, you may be asked to provide personal information to Island Maid Inc. (such information referred to hereinafter as "User Information"). Island Maid Inc.’s information collection and use policies with respect to such User Information are set forth in the Site Privacy Policy, which Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the accuracy and content of the User Information.
